I’m thrilled about the opportunities ahead and can’t wait to meet all of you. Please feel free to reach out anytime—I’m here to help our community thrive!

Hello, Omro! My name is Karissa Dahnke, and I’m excited to serve as the Executive Director for the Future Omro Chamber. I grew up here, and it will forever be my hometown. My roots run deep—my family has been actively involved for generations, with my dad and brother serving in the police department and my mom working at the Omro Care Center. I’m currently a Project Manager at a bank in Oshkosh, where I’ve coordinated numerous volunteer efforts, led a large holiday event, and currently serve as the Event Director for my dad’s American Legion Post organizing craft fairs and brat frys.

I’ve been happily married to my Omro High School sweetheart, Alex, for over 20 years. We have two incredible children: our 19-year-old daughter, AJ, who is studying Radio/TV/Film at College and working as a Biology Tutor, and our 17-year-old son, Eric, a Junior in High School who is an avid 3D printer. As a family, we enjoy movie nights, traveling, participating in craft fairs, and indulging in video games together. Our furry family members include our dogs Marvel and Onyxia, and our cat, Stormegeddon.

Beyond my community involvement, I have a passion for photography, have been part of a roller derby team, and have enjoyed the rewarding experience of being foster parents. I also love collecting and researching coins, and my adventures in the world of Comic Cons have led me to meet some incredible celebrities, including Stan Lee and David Tennant.

Fun Facts about me: I’m a total nerd and love Doctor Who! I’m a big fan of raccoons, dinosaurs, squirrels, and turtles. I’ve actually got a mounted T-Rex head in our living room..instead of a deer head!
